Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn (born on 19th August 1965) is an American actor from America. She is best known for her role as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick received two Emmy Awards in 2010 as well as 2007 for her performance as Johnson. Following the conclusion of the seventh season the show was cancelled on the 13th of August, 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her role in the show as Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated for the Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other film roles include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's Ones (1992) The Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was an New York City native, the daughter Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald) who was an educator and therapist for families, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI who was the venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was Episcopalian and of English heritage. Sedgwick is a self-described Jewish and has stated that she is a participant in Passover seders.
